Why do Filipinos observed the celebration of Chinese New Year because this became possible because of the Proclamation declared by President Benigno S. Aquino III, stating that this "is a manifestation of our solidarity with our Chinese-Filipino brethren who have been part of our lives in many respects as a country and as a people."


The Philippines has a significant Chinese-Filipino population with many Filipinos having Chinese ancestry because the centuries of trade and migration between the Philippines and China. Chinese culture and traditions have been deeply integrated into Filipino culture over time including the celebration of Chinese New Year.


The Chinese-Filipino business community play an important role in the Philippine economy and Chinese New Year celebrations are often tied to commercial activities and events. Many businesses particularly those owned by Chinese-Filipinos it will observe Chinese New Year and offer promotions offers during the festival.


The Philippines is a diverse, multicultural country. Observing Chinese New Year alongside other cultural celebrations helps promote cultural exchange and understanding among the different communities in the Philippines.


Chinese New Year celebrations in the Philippines because in a major cities like Manila have become popular tourist attractions, drawing both local and international visitors. The government and tourism authorities often organize and promote Chinese New Year events and activities to showcase the country's cultural diversity and heritage.
